Venue information
The Marine Theatre, our host for this performance, is right on the seafront in beautiful Lyme Regis, part of a UNESCO world heritage site. The location—with wide views of the sea and Lyme bay—is very important to the Marine’s identity, which makes it appealing to both the public and performers.

While it’s called a theatre, the offering is broad: there’s a vibrant programme of entertainment including bands, films, comedians, plays, screenings, and community-led events. The Marine has become recognised regionally as a vital arts centre, distinguished through eclectic programming. It’s a destination for performers from across the country. Our events also feature local figures from the arts, as cultural practice in the community is celebrated.

What to bring
Please bring your own low-backed seating. Picnics, sun hats, sun cream, sunglasses, raincoats and rain hats should all be considered!

Should the performance start and then be called off by the weather, no refund can be issued however if the weather is so bad that the performance cannot even begin, a full refund will be issued.

COVID-19 measures
We will be adhering to the most up to date government guidelines relating to outdoor theatre. Our tour is ‘See It Safely’ compliant, please click here for more information. More information regarding our Covid safety planning can be found here. We want to make your continued attendance at live theatre as safe as possible and as enjoyable as possible for everyone.

Relaxed performances
We believe that all of our performances can be considered as relaxed. The lights don’t go down (until the sun sets!), the performances take place in the open air where there is plenty of space for audience members and all are welcome. We believe that theatre should be as accessible as possible and will be happy to talk to you about how we can make it accessible for you. If you have specific questions regarding your attendance at one of our performances please do not hesitate to get in contact with us so that we can help to welcome you. Contact details are here.
