Venue information
Home to the Stonor family for over 850 years, Stonor Park is one of the oldest family homes still lived in today.  As well as being architecturally fascinating, each room contains a lifetime of experience and anecdote, with treasures collected from across the globe.  A special exhibition details the life of St Edmund Campion – hidden at Stonor during the reformation.

Stonor is set in a sweeping valley within the heart of the Chiltern Hills.  The stunning gardens, first planted in the 15th century and latterly designed by Lady Camoys, are a treat for visitors to explore, with vistas of the surrounding ancient deer park.  Outside sits the oldest resident: a perfectly preserved prehistoric stone circle.

Visit the house, explore the gardens in bloom, ramble on the Shakespeare Way, or let the children enjoy the magic of the adventure play area – Tumblestone Hollow.  A stroll through this house and gardens is a vivid walk through history.
