When did the company begin?

The Lord Chamberlain’s Men Theatre Company was founded in 2004 by Artistic Director Mark Puddle. Since then, in a matter of only several years, it has grown to employ 4 full-time and 2 part-time staff members, as well as an ever-changing troupe of actors undertaking the company’s educational and performance work.

What type of venues does the company tour to?

The company tours to open-air, historic venues across Britain, though we have ventured as far a field as the ancient amphitheatres of Cyprus, as well as the Channel Islands and the Isle of Man. Our 2009 summer tour saw us visit, amongst others, such sites as Hatfield House, Cardiff Castle, Leeds Castle, Shrewsbury Castle, Althorp House, Caernarfon Castle, and Hylands House

Would the company be willing to donate tickets for a competition?

We are always happy to discuss any ideas for competitions you might have.

Do you have a centralized box-office number?

No, the individual venues handle ticket sales. The full list of box-office numbers is included with each tour schedule
