Venue information
A truly spectacular monument, Tintern Abbey was founded by Walter de Clare, Lord of Chepstow, on 9th May 1131. It is situated adjacent to the village of Tintern on the Welsh bank of the River Wye. An area of outstanding beauty complemented by this outstanding beauty in stone. Despite the shell of this grand structure being open to the skies, it remains the best-preserved medieval abbey in Wales.

What to bring
Please bring your own low-backed seating or rugs. Picnics are welcome, however naked flames are not permitted. Sun hats, sun cream, sunglasses, raincoats and rain hats should all be considered.

Wheelchair access
This venue is accessible to people with reduced mobility.

Parking is very accessible at this venue.

Our performances continue in all but the very worst weather! On very rare occasions, it will not be possible for us to complete the performance, but we will never cancel a performance before the advertised start time.

Should the performance start and then be called off by the weather, no refund can be issued however if the weather is so bad that the performance cannot even begin, a full refund will be issued.
